- Ye was spotted at Mar-a-Lago with alt-right figure Nick Fuentes, per Politico and The Daily Beast.
- Ye and Fuentes were also spotted at the airport in Miami together.
Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, was seen at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday with Nick Fuentes, a leading alt-right figure and white nationalist.
Ye and Fuentes were first spotted together at an airport in Miami on Tuesday. Later on Tuesday night, Ye tweeted about meeting Trump and asking him to be his 2024 running mate.

Politico and The Daily Beast both reported that Fuentes and Ye were seen together at Trump's golf club. A source also told The Daily Beast's Zachary Petrizzo that while Ye dined with Trump on Tuesday, Fuentes was not there for that meeting.
Neither representatives for Fuentes nor a lawyer for Ye returned Insider's requests for comment.
Fuentes is well-known for being a participant at the 2017 white supremacist "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville. This rally turned violent when an avowed neo-Nazi drove his car into a group of counterprotesters, killing a woman and injuring 35 people.
Fuentes also hosts an online show called "America First with Nicholas Fuentes," where he has been known to make anti-semitic comments.
The Anti-Defamation League, a civil rights group, also describes Fuentes as a leader of the "Groyper Army." This is a loosely organized alt-right group that espouses pro-white, racist, and anti-semitic views. Fuentes is also known to have hosted iterations of the America First Political Action Conference, which were attended by far-right House members like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Rep. Paul Gosar.
Ye, too, has flirted with anti-Semitism and far-right ideas. In October, the rapper was locked out of his Twitter account after an antisemitic rant. In a now-removed tweet, he said he would go "death con 3" on Jewish people. Ye's account has since been reinstated by Elon Musk.
The rapper's Twitter rant was posted just days after he wore a shirt emblazoned with the words "White Lives Matter" to his Yeezy fashion show. Ye later said that he wore the shirt because of his "connection with God" and "brilliance."
This week, Ye said he was running for president again after a failed bid in 2020. On Tuesday night, he claimed that he had asked Trump to be his 2024 running mate. However, he has yet to file the basic paperwork to become a candidate — unlike Trump, who announced his 2024 bid on November 15.
Ye has consistently been a Trump supporter. In 2018, he made headlines when he started supporting Trump and claimed that putting on the MAGA hat made him feel like Superman. He also said at the time that he backed Trump because they both have "dragon energy." The rapper continued to voice his support for Trump in 2020.
