JetBlue has banned Lil Pump for life after the rapper refused to wear a mask on a flight

  • 20-year-old rapper Lil Pump has been issued a lifetime ban from JetBlue after he refused to wear a mask on a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles.
  • A spokesperson for the airline said Lil Pump "became verbally abusive with crew members after being asked multiple times and refusing to comply with JetBlue's face covering policy."
  • JetBlue, like other major airlines, requires all passengers above the age of 2 to wear a mask throughout the entire flight as a precaution against the coronavirus.

Rapper Lil Pump has received a lifetime ban from JetBlue.

The 20-year-old rapper was on a JetBlue flight from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles when he "became verbally abusive with crew members after being asked multiple times and refusing to comply with JetBlue's face covering policy," a JetBlue spokesperson said in a statement.

JetBlue requires any passengers above the age of 2 to wear a face covering throughout their flight as a protection against the coronavirus. It was the first airline to do so.

"His return reservation was cancelled and he is no longer welcome to fly on JetBlue," the spokesperson said. "The safety of all customers and crew members is JetBlue's first priority."

Law enforcement was involved, although it is unclear if any charges were pressed.

JetBlue isn't the only airline to ban those who refuse to comply with a mask policy.

Delta had added almost 500 names on a no-fly list by October. United has a list as well, and American has banned those who refuse to wear masks on a case-by-case basis.

Lil Pump has been a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly downplayed the virus and refused to wear a mask on multiple occasions and mocked those who do, referring to them as "politically correct."

The rapper was invited to Trump's final campaign rally, where the president introduced him as "Little Pimp."
