Ok, Twitter people. I know we miss the blue bird, but come on, the new X logo isn't that bad.
Elon Musk, the owner of the now-rebranded bird app, has rolled out the company's new logo and in the process, completed one step of realizing his long-held vision of building a tech empire named "X." It's the culmination of a dream that blossomed in his PayPal Mafia days, and after which he may or may not have named his son with Grimes.
Lots of people were nervous that the demise of the bird logo and its renaming to "X" would come with another ugly or incomprehensible logo. After all, we live in a world where Gabby the Gab frog exists. As does the gigantic F that's functioned as the bat signal for MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell's Frank Social.
Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino unveiled the new X logo at around 2 a.m. EST on Monday morning, an incomprehensible time to push a mega-rebranding of one of the world's biggest social media platforms.
That said — the logo is nice. It has clean lines and millennial simplicity, the core tenets of regular tech world branding. It doesn't break new ground, but honestly, do you care?

Over on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, some people are mourning the death of the blue bird. Other people took a more neutral stance, saying they'd miss the bird but would get used to it.
Fans of the new look said it gave "minimalist art deco" vibes. And others hate the rebranding so much, they say it's making them want to leave the platform.
Either way, it could've been a lot worse. Goodbye, Twitter bird. We'll miss you. Hello, X. Whatever you are.
