In a post on Instagram, Cuomo said the "way my time ended at CNN was hard" and that he needed "to take a step back and focus on what comes next."
The post came roughly 48 hours after he was fired by CNN, which said he violated the company's ethical standards.

A spokesperson for SiriusXM declined to comment on whether the company had itself chosen to sever its relationship with Cuomo.
"We thank Chris for his work at SiriusXM," the spokesperson said, adding that his show "will no longer air."
