UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson had his wife Carrie Johnson announced on Thursday the birth of their "healthy baby girl," according to Britain's Press Association.
"Both mother and daughter are doing very well," the couple's office said in a statement, according to the Associated Press. "The couple would like to thank the brilliant NHS maternity team for all their care and support."
The new baby, who was born early Thursday morning at a hospital in London, is the couple's second child together and Johnson's seventh.
The prime minister, 57, and his wife, 33, welcomed their first child together, Wilfred, into the world in April 2020.
The Johnsons announced in July that they were expecting their second child together after Carrie experienced a miscarriage.
