- At least six people were trapped in
Baltimore ,Maryland after a gasexplosion leveled three homes on Monday, the Baltimore Fire Department said. - One woman was pronounced dead at the scene and at least four others were taken to local hospitals in serious condition, the department said on Twitter.
- The department said at least one other person remained trapped inside the rubble.
- Some of those trapped following the "major explosion" included children, the
fire department said. - A Special Rescue Operations team also responded to the scene to attempt to rescue trapped individuals.
- Blair Adams, a spokesperson for the fire department, said the cause of the blast was a "major gas explosion," according to The New York Times.
