The year has seen a number of major events, like the Capitol riots, the Texas winter storm, and Kim Kardashian filing for divorce from Kanye West.
Here are 38 major news events that happened in the first 100 days of 2021.

The US entered a new phase of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with the rollout of vaccines. Confirmed cases began to plateau and decrease, though coronavirus variants that continue to spread within certain states and communities have prompted health officials to advise Americans to still take appropriate precautions.

Outside of the pandemic, a number of unprecedented events happened in a little over three months into the new year, including the January 6 riots at the Capitol, the beginning of the trial of ex-Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin in the killing of George Floyd, and Kim Kardashian filing for divorce from Kanye West after seven years of marriage.

Here are 38 major news events that happened in the first 100 days of 2021:
