A retired doctor in Connecticut had her medical license suspended after officials learned she was handing out fake COVID-19 vaccine exemptions, the state's Medical Examining Board said.

An anonymous tup led to a license suspension for Sue McIntosh, of Durham, Connecticut's Medical Examining Board said in a statement last week.

The board said an investigation found that McIntosh had been "providing fraudulent vaccine exemption forms through the mail related to COVID-19 vaccines, general vaccines, COVID testing, and medical opposition to wearing facial masks."

The board said McIntosh sent out forms without ever seeing patients.

McIntosh also encouraged people to distribute her forms to others, records seen by the Washington Post said.

"You may copy and distribute as many forms as you wish to anyone," she wrote in instructions seen by The Post. "Keep blank copies for yourself for future use."

Records seen by The Post show that McIntosh would then sign off with her name and the phrase, "Let freedom ring!"

"These actions by Dr. McIntosh are irresponsible and unacceptable," Connecticut Department of Public Health Commissioner Manisha Juthani, said in a statement "Her practice of medicine represents a clear and immediate danger to the public health and safety of our communities. The suspension of her license should serve as a warning to other practitioners that this conduct deviates from the standard of care and is subject to serious discipline."
