In New Jersey, a police officer completed an Uber Eats delivery after the delivery driver was arrested over an outstanding warrant.

During a routine patrol on the evening of January 21, a Florham Park Police Department officer stopped a vehicle after a random plate inquiry showed an outstanding $1,000 bail traffic warrant, according to WABC-TV.

The driver, 60, who worked for Uber Eats, was arrested, and her car was placed in a parking spot to ensure it wouldn't get towed, WABC-TV reported.

After the arrest, according to the local news outlet, Officer Alex Tredy wanted to make sure the Uber Eats customer wouldn't go without their order, so he decided to deliver it himself.

He brought the McDonald's delivery to the customer, who happened to be the husband of Jersey Shore's Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, Jionni LaValle, WABC-TV reported.

"If we can take that extra step and give them that sense of peace and dignity and respect, we're always going to take that," Officer Mike Zvolensky told WABC-TV.

Tredy told the local outlet he didn't receive a delivery tip because he wouldn't be allowed to keep it as a government employee.

However, he said he was happy to make the delivery because he "got into the job to help people."
