A new 'Pickle Rick Miracle Seltzer' just launched as a nod to one of the most infamous episodes of 'Rick & Morty'
- The Adult Swim show "Rick & Morty" is notorious for spawning memes that reference specific jokes or characters.
- A particularly popular episode, titled "Pickle Rick," is the source of a new beverage crossover: "Pickle Rick Miracle Seltzer."
- "Rick & Morty" was previously involved in food-related news when an episode repeatedly referenced McDonald's discontinued Szechuan sauce.
- When McDonald's brought back the sauce due to demand from fans, riots erupted at some locations.
Adult Swim's "Rick & Morty" is notorious for spawning endless memes, and occasionally spurring angry fans to riot at McDonald's restaurants over limited-time dipping sauce.
It's no surprise, then, that "Rick & Morty" is the inspiration for a new, bizarre-sounding drink.
One of the show's most popular episodes, featuring one of its main characters as a pickle version of himself, is the source of a new crossover beverage: "Pickle Rick Miracle Seltzer."
Just like the name says, Pickle Rick Miracle Seltzer is a combination of pickle juice with carbonated water. Miracle Seltzer describes the flavor as, "a delicious pairing of all natural pickle juice with the sensationally tight bubbles of Miracle Seltzer." 12-packs are available starting at $24 on Miracle Seltzer's website.
Unlike the episode it's based on, which focuses on Rick's alcoholism and how it shapes his relationship to his family, Pickle Rick Miracle Seltzer is non-alcoholic.
The drink is part of the merchandise for Adult Swim's upcoming Adult Swim Festival, and it's available for purchase now alongside a variety of Pickle Rick-centric items.
