A man in Florida is accused of living in a soccer stadium for over 2 weeks and taking more than $1,000 worth of merchandise in the process

A 39-year-old homeless man who was found living at a soccer stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida, was arrested on August 9, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

The police said Daniel Albert Neja had been living at the Al Lang Stadium, the home of the Tampa Bay Rowdies, since late July. He's now facing charges of burglary and resisting an officer without violence.

Neja had been living in a luxury suite, where a cleaning crew discovered his belongings, including blankets and shaving cream, a St. Petersburg police spokeswoman, Yolanda Fernandez, told the newspaper.

Fernandez told CNN that Neja had been eating the food at the venue and wearing Rowdies clothing.

"He got into the merchandise store and was wearing a bunch of team merchandise," she said. "He made himself quite at home there."

An arrest report cited by the Times said Neja took over $1,200 worth of food and merchandise.
