From TV screens, apartment and hotel windows, and the street, millions of people watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City every year.

Viewers saw the 97th rendition of the historic Thanksgiving parade that started in 1924 on Thursday.

From 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., floats, performers, and balloons traveled from the Upper West Side of Manhattan to 34th Street as crowds cheered.

New floats graced the streets of New York this year, including Beagle Scout Snoopy, Kung Fu Panda's Po, and the Pillsbury Dough Boy, as USA Today reported.

Pro-Palestine protestors blocked the parade briefly before the NYPD arrested them.
