Celebrities who have tested positive for the coronavirus

Brian Allen, a Los Angeles Rams player, has tested positive for COVID-19, the 24-year-old told Fox Sports' Jay Glazer on Wednesday.

He told Glazer that he lost his sense of smell and taste approximately three weeks ago. Allen also reported "periodic sore throats," "headaches," and "fatigue," adding that "everything felt different than every other flu I've had."

The athlete shared that he retested positive for COVID-19 again last week, although his symptoms have cleared aside from his sense of taste and smell.

Chris Cuomo's wife Cristina Greeven Cuomo, 50, tested positive for the novel coronavorus, he announced on Wednesday's episode of CNN's "Cuomo Prime Time." Her diagnosis follows Chris' March 31 announcement that he contracted COVID-19.

"Cristina now has COVID. She is now positive, and it just breaks my heart," Chris said, adding, "It is the one thing I was hoping wouldn't happen and now it has."

The 49-year-old television host added that his wife has "lost her sense of smell and taste." He continued, "Anecdotally, the cases I hear that are more mild tend to have that."

George Stephanopoulos tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the 59-year-old news anchor announced on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Monday.

He shared that Wentworth is doing "much, much better" and has been fever-free for five days before announcing that he tested positive.

"I also learned over the weekend that my test came back positive for COVID as well, which is really no surprise given that I've been here for a couple of weeks," Stephanopoulos said.

He continued, "I'm one of those cases that are basically asymptomatic. I've never had a fever, never had chills, never had a headache, never had a cough, never had shortness of breath. I'm feeling great."

Todd Chrisley has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the television reality star announced on the "Chrisley Confessions" podcast on April 8.

"I have been battling corona for three weeks. I was in the hospital for four and a half days, fever between 100 to 103 and it has been the sickest I have ever been on this earth," the 52-year-old said.

He explained that his condition has been improving, but added that he hasn't fully rebounded from the illness.

"Hopefully, I will get better every day, but as of right now, folks, I still am not clicking on all cylinders. I am probably about 70 to 75 percent of what I normally I am, but that last 25 percent is kicking my a--."

John Taylor, Duran Duran's bassist, tested positive for COVID-19 three weeks ago, the band announced on Twitter on April 5.

"Perhaps I am a particularly robust 59 year old — I like to think I am — or was blessed with getting only a mild case of Covid 19 — but after a week or so of what I would describe as a 'Turbo-charged flu', I came out of it feeling okay," he wrote, adding that quarantine gave him an opportunity to recover.

The musician also used his case as an example of overcoming the illness.

He told fans, "I am speaking out in answer to the enormous amount of fear being generated by the pandemic, some of it entirely justified, and my heart goes out to everyone who has had to deal with real loss and pain. But I want to let you know that it isn't always a killer, and we can and will beat this thing."

Marianne Faithfull, a 73-year-old English singer-songwriter, has been hospitalized in London to receive treatment for COVID-19, multiple outlets confirmed.

"She is stable and responding to treatment. We all wish her well and a full and speedy recovery," her representative said in a statement to Rolling Stone on April 4.

Brooke Baldwin tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the CNN anchor announced in an Instagram post on April 3.

The 40-year-old revealed that she suddenly began feeling symptoms including chills, aches, and a fever on Thursday afternoon despite her efforts to practice social distancing.

"I'm healthy... no underlying conditions...Honestly, I feel like one of the lucky ones," Baldwin wrote, adding that she was looking forward to returning to television after her recovery.

Pink shared her diagnosis via Twitter on April 3.

"Two weeks ago my three-year-old son, Jameson, and I are were showing symptoms of COVID-19. Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive," she wrote.

She added that her family had already been "sheltering at home" and remained in quarantine for the two weeks following her diagnosis. She has since been re-tested and the results came back negative.

"In an effort to support the healthcare professionals who are battling on the front lines every day, I am donating $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of my mother, Judy Moore," she added in a second tweet.

She also donated an additional $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund.

Singer-songwriter Christopher Cross tested positive for COVID-19, the five-time Grammy winner announced in a Facebook post on April 3.

"I'm sorry to report that I am among the growing number of Americans who tested positive for the COVID-19 virus," the 68-year-old musician wrote, continuing, "Although I am fortunate enough to be cared for at home, this is possibly the worst illness I've ever had."

Cross, who is well-known for his songs "Sailing" and "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)," urged his followers to stay home and take precautions, adding that the illness is "spreading like wildfire throughout the world."

Sara Bareilles tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the singer announced on her Instagram story on April 2.

The 40-year-old said that she has since "fully recovered" from the illness and would continue to social distance.

"I am just thinking about all the people who are walking through this really tricky time and sending a lot of love. And just really grateful for every easy breath and every day that I get to be walking around," she said while "social distance walking" outside.

Ali Wentworth, a comedian married to George Stephanopoulos, tested positive for the coronavirus, she announced on Instagram on April 1.

"I've never been sicker," the 55-year-old wrote along with a photo of her in bed, adding that her symptoms include fever, "horrific" body aches, and a "heavy" chest.

"This is pure misery," she wrote.

Wentworth spoke further about her COVID-19 symptoms on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Wednesday. She said she detected her first symptoms when she felt "very, very winded" on a walk with her dog. Once she had a fever, she decided to get tested. Wentworth reported that she still has a high fever and painful achy joints.

"It feels like a really, really horrible flu," she shared, adding, "I'm still in it now, but I can tell you the things that help are Tylenol, chicken soup. I took some hot baths when I had chills and I have two dogs that sleep on my bed with me."

Wentworth has quarantined herself from her husband and two daughters, explaining that she's staying in one room of their New York residence to avoid spreading the novel coronavirus.

Jim Edmonds, a former MLB player, announced that he tested positive for both COVID-19 and pneumonia on his Instagram story on April 1.

The 49-year-old went to the hospital to get tested after feeling "super sick" on Saturday, he shared in an Instagram story. However, he reported that he is now "symptom-free and doing really well."

"I must have had it for a while before I got tested," Edmonds said on Instagram, adding, "Thank God I quarantined myself and listened to what everyone said and kept our curve at our house flattened."

The former athlete is estranged from "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Meghan O'Toole King. He has five children and added that one of his daughters is awaiting her test results.

"Do not take this lightly," he said, continuing, "If you don't feel good, go to the doctor or go to the emergency room if you can't breathe. That's what happened to me. They didn't want to test me, and I forced them to take me into the emergency room, and, lo and behold, pneumonia and the virus."

Ray Benson, the leader of the band Asleep at the Wheel, tested positive for the novel coronavirus, he announced in a Facebook post on March 31.

The 69-year-old musician said he decided to get tested after feeling tired for 10 days but wasn't able to get a test the first time he tried. He explained that he went back the next day and tested positive.

Benson wrote that he's "hoping for the best" after receiving diagnosis and reported that he doesn't have a fever or cough, although his symptoms do include fatigue and a headache.

Chris Cuomo tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the CNN anchor announced on Twitter on March 31.

The 49-year-old, who is New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's brother, reported that his symptoms have included a "fever, chills and shortness of breath."

He added that he'd been "exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive," although he didn't offer further details on where he came in contact with the novel coronavirus.

Chris added that he will air his show, "Cuomo Prime Time," from home while quarantining in his basement, separating himself from his wife Cristina Greeven Cuomo and their three children.

"I just hope I didn't give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness!" he said.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson tested positive for COVID-19, he announced on Twitter on March 27.

The 55-year-old prime minister reported that he's experienced "mild symptoms" — including a fever and cough — and will remain in isolation.

"I will continue to lead the government's response via video-conference as we fight this virus," he wrote.

Johnson, who previously declined to test for the coronavirus after coming into contact with a minister who tested positive, urged viewers to stay home and comply with the country's measures to prevent spreading the novel coronavirus.

John Prine, a country folk singer-songwriter, was hospitalized on March 26 after experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, according to a family statement on his Twitter account.

The 73-year-old musician was intubated on Saturday and continues to receive treatment, his family shared.

"After a sudden onset of Covid-19 symptoms, John was hospitalized on Thursday (3/26). He was intubated Saturday evening, and continues to receive care, but his situation is critical," the statement said.

The message continues, "This is hard news for us to share. But so many of you have loved and supported John over the years, and we wanted to let you know, and give you the chance to send on more of that love and support now. And know that we love you, and John loves you."

Laura Bell Bundy tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the 38-year-old Tony Award-winning actress announced in an Instagram video on March 25.

She's been quarantining since having a headache and sore throat on March 12, adding that her symptoms evolved into chest tightness and shortness of breath before she decided to get tested for the novel coronavirus.

Bundy said that her husband has shown symptoms as well, although he's not going to be tested.

"It's very, very scary. Of course I'm scared. My husband also has symptoms," she said, adding, "My belief is that more people have this than they realize, including carriers. I was tested, but many people can't get tested."

The "Legally Blonde" actress also explained that she's been taking supplements and herbs recommended by her acupuncturist and prescribed by her "Chinese medicine doctor," however there are currently no FDA-approved treatments or vaccines for the novel coronavirus.

And as an increasing amount of social media influencers promote megadoses of vitamins and supplements to combat the coronavirus, experts have warned that the alternative treatments could result in death.

Prince Charles has the novel coronavirus, a Clarence House representative confirmed to Insider on March 25.

"The Prince of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus. He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual," the representative said.

The representative shared that the Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested, adding that they "met the criteria required for testing" at NHS in Aberdeenshire. They both have been self-isolating in Scotland.

Although it remains unknown where the 71-year-old royal was exposed to COVID-19, he could have contracted the coronavirus after spending time with Prince Albert of Monaco, who tested positive just days after they met.

On Monday, a spokesperson confirmed that Prince Charles is now out of self-isolation after consulting with a doctor.

Cascada's Natalie Horler, a German singer best known for the 2005 dance hit "Every Time We Touch," tested positive for the novel coronavirus, she confirmed in an Instagram video on March 24.

The 38-year-old reported that her symptoms have included a slight fever and headache. Horler added that she's already been self-isolating for eight days but will "take it up a notch" and quarantine for 14 more.

"My case will most likely be mild, so the most important thing is to protect everyone else who may be at risk," the singer wrote.

Musician Jackson Browne tested positive for COVID-19, the musician shared in an interview that Rolling Stone published on March 24.

The 71-year-old Rock Hall of Fame inductee said that he got tested after having "a small cough and a temperature" but has experienced "pretty mild symptoms." He's been recovering from the illness and is quarantined in his home in Los Angeles, California.

Browne said that he isn't sure where he came in contact with the virus but thinks that it may have been at the Love Rocks NYC benefit.

"I quarantined immediately upon feeling sick. It was before the mandatory quarantine orders were issued, because you don't know if you had it or not," he said.

Browne added, "You have to assume you have it. You need to assume that you in some way could very easily pass it to someone else."

Greg Rikaart tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the actor confirmed in an Instagram post on March 24.

The "Young and the Restless" actor said he's been in quarantine since March 14 and reported that he had a fever for 11 days and difficulty breathing. Rikaart was eventually diagnosed with pneumonia.

"I just tested positive for coronavirus. I am a pretty healthy 43-year-old who doesn't smoke, doesn't drink much, eats well and exercises regularly and this has been the hardest experience of my life," he wrote.

Rikaart added that he no longer had a fever and felt like he "turned the proverbial corner," however he remains in isolation to keep others from falling ill.

"So, nice try coronavirus, but I have another 4-5 decades worth of experiences to have with these guys," the actor said.

Slim Thug tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the 39-year-old rapper announced on Instagram on March 24.

"The other day I got tested for the coronavirus, yesterday, and it came back positive," he said, continuing, "As careful as I've been self-quarantined and staying home — I might have went and got something to eat or something, simple stuff like that, nothing crazy, stayed in my truck, had mask, gloves, everything on, and my test came back positive."

Slim Thug said that he had a "slight fever and a cough" before getting tested but reported that his symptoms have since alleviated.

Aaron Tveit, the lead in Broadway's "Moulin Rouge! The Musical," tested positive for COVID-19, per his Instagram post on March 23. The 36-year-old actor said that he's been in quarantine since Broadway shut down on March 12.

"I consider myself extremely lucky that my symptoms have been very mild - cold like with no fever - as so many are experiencing much more serious symptoms, because this is a very dangerous virus," he wrote.

Tveit added, "One thing I have been experiencing is the loss of taste and smell, which I think is a big sign for people who are otherwise asymptotic."

Actress Debi Mazar tested positive for COVID-19, she shared on Instagram on March 21.

The 55-year-old explained that her family members felt sick before she suddenly experienced "super intense body aches,and 102.4 fever." Mazar also detailed the difficulty she faced while trying to obtain a test kit for the novel coronavirus. When she finally did get a test, she said that she tested positive.

"Im hoping I've been through the worst of it already.Its very 'morphy'.One day I feel crappy and the next I'm normal.Today my lungs are heavy,but I'm tough," she wrote.

Mazar continued, "I can breath,and I'm going to heal here,in my own home!My family is under quarantine for 14 days.They have no symptoms.I think we all had it possibly already?Who knows."

Andy Cohen announced on March 20 that he tested positive for the coronavirus, which causes the disease known as COVID-19.

The host of "Watch What Happens Live" said he wanted to get work done for the show from home, but said he and his team are "putting a pin in that for now" until his condition improves.

"After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus," he wrote in the caption of the post. "As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we're putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better."

"I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves."

Colton Underwood announced on social media on March 20 that he tested positive for the novel coronavirus and encouraged his followers to stay home.

"I want to let you guys know, I'm 28. I consider myself pretty healthy. I work out regularly. I eat healthy, and I became symptomatic a few days ago," the former NFL star said in a video shared on Twitter.

He continued: "It's been kicking my a--, just to put it bluntly. Main thing is I can't even walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath or go to the bathroom without having to sit down because I'm exhausted."

The "Bachelor" alum also said he's staying at fiancée Cassie Randolph's family home. "Unfortunately that means we're all in this together," he said.

Daniel Dae Kim learned that he tested positive for COVID-19 on March 18.

The actor shared his diagnosis in a 10-minute Instagram video on Thursday, explaining that he's been in isolation in his home in Hawaii.

"For the past several weeks I was in New York shooting a role on a TV series where — ironically — I play a doctor who gets recruited to a hospital to help patients during a flu pandemic," Kim said.

He returned home after production on the show was suspended, adding that he was asymptomatic during that time period. Kim quarantined himself in a room at home, but reported tightness in his chest, body aches, and a fever before deciding to get tested.

Although he never went to the hospital, the actor said he was on bed rest for days.

"For all those out there — especially teenagers and millennials — who think this is not serious, please know that it is," Kim warned, adding, "And if you treat this without care, you are potentially endangering the lives of millions of people, including your loved ones."

The actor shared an update on Instagram on Sunday and reported that he felt "practically back to normal" but remains in isolation.

"I am lucky enough to be in the 80% of diagnosed cases that have not required hospitalization," he said, adding, "As of now, I have no symptoms other than a little residual congestion."

Singer Charlotte Lawrence tested positive for COVID-19, which she confirmed in an Instagram post on March 17.

"I am going to be completely fine. But many who get it won't be if too many people get sick too quickly," the 19-year-old wrote, adding, "This is me pleading for you all to protect those less able to survive the virus."

Lawrence continued to encourage her followers to stay home to slow the spread of the virus.

She concluded her message by writing: "And for the love of god, self f---ing quarantine or you'll be on my s--- list."

Producer Andrew Watt tested positive for the novel coronavirus, according to his Instagram post on March 16.

The 29-year-old, who has worked with artists like Post Malone and Cardi B, said he felt like he got "hit by a bus" before getting tested — reporting a fever, chills, and a dry cough.

The doctor told Watt that he didn't have COVID-19, as the producer hadn't left the country or done anything except travel between his home and the studio. However, his symptoms worsened and he "begged" to be tested.

Although Watt was eventually tested, he described how difficult it was for him to get access to a test even as he showed symptoms. Since the diagnosis, the producer said his fever has gone down but added that he remains on bed rest with an oxygen mask to recover from his pneumonia.

"I am 29 years old. I am a healthy young man and I am going to get through this no matter what. I am going to make a full recovery," he wrote.

Watt continued, "But... there are so many people in my life and in the world that could possibly not get through this due to their age and/or a compromised immune system."

The four Brooklyn Nets players are in self-isolation and "under the care of team physicians," according to a press release from the team.

The last team the Nets played before the players were tested were the Los Angeles Lakers on March 10 before the NBA postponed the rest of the 2019-2020 season.

Rachel Matthews, who voiced Honeymaren in "Frozen 2,″ tested positive for the novel coronavirus, she shared on her Instagram story on March 16.

"Hey guys, I tested positive for COVID-19 and have been in quarantine the last week. Unsure of what the next step is (been getting mixed info so will keep you posted) but will obviously remain in quarantine until told to do otherwise," the 26-year-old wrote.

The actress continued to break down a day-by-day timeline of her symptoms, which began with a sore throat, headache, and fatigue, adding, "I only got tested because I had been around a confirmed case and had been showing symptoms."

Matthews didn't elaborate on where she was exposed to the illness but said that tests are "insanely hard to come by."

"Our country is very behind and we don't have much of a system in place," she wrote.

At the end of her story, she posted the video of Idris Elba sharing his COVID-19 diagnosis and said, "you can also be a carrier with **no symptoms**."

Kristofer Hivju, who is known for his roles on HBO's "Game of Thrones" and in "The Fate of the Furious," tested positive for the novel coronavirus and announced the news on Instagram on March 16.

The 41-year-old Norwegian actor said that he and his family would be self-isolating for "as long as it takes."

"We are in good health - I only have mild symptoms of a cold. There are people at higher risk for who this virus might be a devastating diagnosis, so I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1,5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading," he wrote.

Idris Elba tested positive for the novel coronavirus on March 16, which the 47-year-old British actor confirmed in a video he posted on Twitter.

"This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I'm doing No panic," the "Thor" actor wrote.

Although the actor didn't specify where he was exposed to someone that had tested positive, he was photographed with Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, at WE Day 2020 on March 4. Sophie tested positive for COVID-19 on March 13, however it remains unconfirmed that the two cases are connected.

In the video, Idris also shared that his wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba, hasn't been tested and "is doing okay."

He called on his fans to be vigilant about washing their hands and remain aware that they may be asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19.

"We live in a divided world right now. We can all feel it. It's been bulls--- but now is the time for solidarity. Now is the time for thinking about each other," he said, adding, "There are so many people whose lives have been affected — from those who have lost the people that they love to those who don't even have it and have lost their livelihood. This is real."

On March 22, Sabrina announced that she tested positive for the novel coronavirus as well during a FaceTime episode of "Oprah Talks: COVID-19" on Apple TV.

"I could have made the decision to put myself, maybe, in a separate room or stay away, and I'm sure that people are making those decisions. And they're tough decisions to make," she told Oprah, continuing, "But I made the decision to want to be with him and, you know, still touch him."

Lucian Grainge, the 60-year-old chairman and CEO of Universal Music, has been hospitalized after testing positive for the novel coronavirus, multiple sources confirmed to Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter on March 15.

The executive is receiving treatment at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Universal Music hasn't released a statement confirming his diagnosis, however fellow industry players have reportedly grown uneasy as Grainge threw a 60th birthday celebration prior to his diagnosis on February 29. Apple CEO Tim Cook, music executive Irving Azoff, and Apple senior vice president Eddy Cue attended the event.

Christian Wood, a 24-year old center on the Detroit Pistons, is the third NBA player to test positive for the novel coronavirus, as reported by The Athletic's Shams Charania on March 15. Charania reported that Wood has shown no symptoms and "is doing well."

The Pistons released a statement about the athlete's diagnosis.

"A player on the Detroit Pistons, who is under the care of team medical staff and in self-isolation since Wednesday night, was tested for COVID-19. A preliminary positive result came back on March 14. The health and safety of our players, our organization, those throughout our league, and all those potentially impacted by this situation is paramount," the statement said.

Although the team hasn't confirmed where he came in contact with the illness, Wood faced off with Rudy Gobert, who was the first NBA player to test positive for COVID-19, when the Utah Jazz played the Detroit Pistons on March 7.

Olga Kurylenko, a 40-year-old Ukranian-born actress, tested positive for COVID-19, according to her Instagram post on March 15.

Kurylenko, who starred alongside Daniel Craig in the 2008 film "Quantum of Solace," shared a photo of her window at home along with the news of her diagnosis.

"Locked up at home after having tested positive for Coronavirus. I've actually been ill for almost a week now. Fever and fatigue are my main symptoms," Kurylenko wrote.

She continued, "Take care of yourself and do take this seriously!"

On Sunday, the actress shared an update on Instagram and said that she was "completely recovered."

"For one week I felt pretty bad and was mostly in bed, sleeping, with high fever and strong headache. The second week, the fever was gone but some light cough appeared and I felt very tired. By the end of the second week I felt totally fine," Kurylenko added.

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, tested positive for the coronavirus on March 12, The New York Times reported.

Justin Trudeau was under self-isolation after his wife starting showing symptoms on Wednesday after a speaking event in the United Kingdom.

"Although I'm experiencing uncomfortable symptoms from the virus, I will be back on my feet soon," Grégoire Trudeau said in a statement. "Being in quarantine at home is nothing compared to other Canadian families who might be going through this and for those facing more serious health concerns."

On March 12, the Utah Jazz announced that its second player, Donovan Mitchell, has tested positive for the illness.

"As a follow-up to yesterday's positive COVID-19 test, Oklahoma health officials tested all members of the Utah Jazz traveling party, confirming one additional positive outcome for a Jazz player. We are working closely with the CDC, Oklahoma and Utah state officials, and the NBA to monitor their health and determine the best path moving forward," the statement reads.

The 23-year-old athlete was reportedly the only other Jazz player to test positive for the disease, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The game between the Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder was postponed on March 11 after the Jazz's center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus, as reported by ESPN. The 27-year-old athlete was reportedly in Oklahoma City but wasn't present at the arena for the game.

Following the news, both teams were quarantined in Chesapeake Energy Arena. The City Thunder players left, however the Jazz players remained in the arena until testing results were finalized. Because the Jazz have come in contact with players from other NBA teams in recent games, 20% of NBA players are facing quarantine.

Shortly after calling off the game, the NBA released a statement announcing that it would suspend its season.

The statement reads, "The NBA announced that a player on the Utah Jazz has preliminarily tested positive for the COVID-19. The test result was reported shortly prior to the tip-off of tonight's game between the Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. At that time, tonight's game was canceled. The affected player was not in the arena. The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of tonight's schedule of games until further notice. The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic."

After Gobert's diagnosis was announced, a video from March 9 surfaced of the athlete mocking coronavirus precautions by rubbing the microphones at a press conference. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive," he wrote on Instagram.

Hanks added, "Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks' will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We'll keep the world posted and updated. Warner Bros., the company distributing the film, released a statement about Hanks and Wilson, who visited two of the most popular tourist attractions in Australia before testing positive for the disease.

"We are working closely with the appropriate Australian health agencies to identify and contact anyone who may have come in direct contact with the individual. The health and safety of our company members is always our top priority, and we are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world. The individual who tested positive for COVID-19 is currently receiving treatment."

Hanks and Wilson departed from the Queensland hospital five days after they announced that they tested positive for COVID-19, as reported by People and Entertainment Tonight on Monday. The couple will continue their quarantine at a home in Australia to prevent spreading the illness to others.

Two weeks after exhibiting symptoms, Hanks tweeted that the couple has been feeling better and encouraged his followers to shelter in place to avoid spreading the virus.

The couple remained in Australia while in quarantine and shared that they returned to the US on Monday, adding that they'll be "sheltering in place and social distancing."
