International leaders are already congratulating Narendra Modi for victory in India’s general election

  • Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu and The Sri Lankan president, Maithripala Sirisena congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for winning the lok sabha election 2019.
  • Cheering to the slogans like 'Modi once again', 'Har Har Modi' and 'Vande Mataram', hundreds of BJP supporters burst into celebrations at the party headquarters.
  • The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is leading in 295 seats compared to its rival the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) that is ahead in 52 seats.

Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu congratulates Prime Minister Narendra Modi . He said, "will continue to strengthen our friendship between India and Israel".

The Sri Lankan president, Maithripala Sirisena, has also congratulated Narendra Modi for winning the Lok Sabha Election in India — even though the results aren’t even out yet.


Cheering to the slogans like 'Modi once again', 'Har Har Modi' and 'Vande Mataram', hundreds of BJP supporters burst into celebrations at the party headquarters here as the Narendra Modi-led government appeared set to stage a thumping comeback.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah are among the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders who have taken big leads on the seats from where they are contesting.

According to the Election Commission trends, Prime Minister Modi, contesting from Varanasi, is leading by 2,63,583 votes over his nearest rival Ajai Rai of the Congress who has managed 49,529 votes.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is leading in 295 seats compared to its rival the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) that is ahead in 52 seats, according to Election Commission data at 1:20 pm. He will be the first non-Congress Prime Minister in India to retain the job.
