Intel Plunges Into The Smartwatch Pool – Shows Its Own Design

It is wonderful to see so many new gadgets popping up as soon as the New Year begins. CES is partly responsible for the drive as many from around the world come here to showcase a new technology or gadget from their own mechanical stables. As we predicted Smartwach segment was going to heat up further this year as Intel too showcased its version of the smartwatch.

Still in the prototype stages, this new smartwatch from Intel is independent of other devices for calling and using the internet. The design is not particularly desirable, but hey, none of the smart wearables are when they are first showcased. This smartwatch has geofencing, which allows the wearer to get location based notifications. The smart device should be available to the consumers sometime in 2014.
