Intel CEO Brian Krzanich's plan to show his support for Donald Trump at home got dashed, the New York Times reported Wednesday.

The report said that Krzanich was planning to hold a home fund raiser for the presumptive Republican nominee on Thursday night.

Intel told the NY Times by Tuesday that the event would include a "a full exchange of views," only to notify a few hours later that Krzanich decided to cancel it.

It's unclear what prompted Krzanich to cancel the event. The report said that Trump is holding a rally in San Jose on Thursday instead.

Krzanich is one of the very few Silicon Valley leaders to publicly support Trump. Aside from billionaire investor Peter Thiel, there hasn't been many high-profile tech figures to publicly back the presumptive Republican nominee.

People like investor Marc Andreessen and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, who have previously expressed Republican support, have turned against the party for this election. HPE CEO Meg Whitman, who ran as a Republican candidate for governor in California, once called Trump a "dishonest demagogue."

Intel's spokesperson wasn't immediately available for comment.
