Walmart+ is slated to be a major competitor for Amazon Prime. But how will the two rival services stack up?
Amazon Prime dates back to 2005. Amazon has had 15 years to establish and refine its perks.
Recode reported that Walmart's members-only subscription service will launch in July. The launch will bring about a number of perks for early adopters, many of which seem tailor-made to compete with Amazon's Prime subscription service. But because it has not yet launched, the benefits of the Walmart+ program are far less sketched out.

Amazon Prime: $12.99 a month or $119 a year.
Walmart+: $98 a year, according to Recode.
Shipping
Amazon Prime: Prime members can opt for free two-day shipping on eligible products, free same-day shipping for certain zip codes, and free two-hour delivery for certain items and zip codes.
Walmart+: Recode reported that subscribers will receive unlimited same-day delivery for groceries and other merchandise.
Order slots
Amazon Prime: Subscribers looking to organize their schedules can opt to establish a weekly delivery day.
Walmart+: According to Recode, Walmart+ members will receive the priority treatment when it comes to grocery delivery slots.
Streaming
Amazon Prime: Members receive access to music, films, original television shows, Twitch benefits, and channels like HBO, Showtime, and Starz.
Walmart+: According to Recode, Walmart has "unclear" hopes around adding a "video entertainment component" to its Walmart+ service in the future.
Grocery benefits
Amazon Prime: Prime subscribers get deals and beneficial delivery options at Whole Foods Market, as well as free grocery delivery in certain regions.
Walmart+: Subscribers will have access to an unlimited same-day delivery service for groceries, according to Recode.
