  • The second season of "The Mandalorian" will debut on Disney Plus on October 30.
  • "The Mandalorian" is an original "Star Wars" series set after the events of "Return of the Jedi," and the show's first season was one of the most watched series of 2019.
  • Rosario Dawson will reportedly join the cast as a Jedi Knight in season two, while Temuera Morrison will reprise his role as Boba Fett.
  • Disney Plus costs $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year; it's available in a bundle with Hulu and ESPN+ for $12.99 per month.

Season two of "The Mandalorian" will premiere on Disney Plus on October 30, according to an official announcement posted to StarWars.com.

The first season of "The Mandalorian" earned more than 15 Emmy Award nominations and was the most watched show in the world during its eight episode run. Pedro Pascal will return as the titular Mandalorian, a space-fighting bounty hunter tasked with protecting a small child whose special abilities could bring hope to the galaxy.

"The Mandalorian" has been praised for its tight, self-contained episodes and regularly evokes the spirit of classic Western and samurai genre films despite its sci-fi setting. As a nameless warrior, the Mandalorian uses his skills to earn a living, encountering new threats in each episode and constantly defending The Child from the evil forces of the Empire.

Few details about season two of "The Mandalorian" have been announced, but Rosario Dawson will reportedly join the series as Ahsoka Tano, a Jedi introduced in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," and Temuera Morrison will join the series as Boba Fett, a character he previously played in "Star Wars" video games. Fett is the iconic bounty hunter who first introduced the Mandalorian armor to the "Star Wars" franchise in the 1978 "Star Wars Holiday Special," but he has not been featured in "The Mandalorian" thus far.
