Samsung's $1,400 Galaxy S20 Ultra is $300 off on Amazon today only — this is the deal you've been waiting for if you're in the market for a new premium smartphone
- Samsung's $1,400 Galaxy S20 Ultra is $300 off at Amazon today only.
- The deal brings the Galaxy S20 Ultra's price down to $1,100.
- In other words, it's less expensive than the $1,200 Galaxy S20 Plus, which has a slightly lesser camera and battery performance.
- If you're in the market for a high-end phone and your budget is around $1,000, this is the one to get.
Samsung's highest of high-end smartphones — the $1,400 Galaxy S20 Ultra — is on sale for $1,100 on Amazon today, Thursday, June 11 only. That's a huge $300 off.
The deal will be over at 1 a.m. Friday morning on June 12.
Samsung's Galaxy S20 Ultra was always too expensive at its standard $1,400 price, but now that it's down to $1,100, it's seriously worth a look if you're in the market for a new high-end smartphone.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra is a large phone with a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen that can run up to 120Hz, making for an ultra-smooth experience while swiping and tapping around your apps and the Android operating system.
That smooth experience wouldn't be possible without powerful insides, including the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 mobile chip running alongside an ultra-generous 12GB of RAM. This specific deal is for the 128GB storage model of the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Keeping the Galaxy S20 Ultra running is a massive 5,000mAh battery that offers impressive battery life. It comes with a 25W charger that charges the phone quickly, and it also supports Samsung's ultra-fast 45W charger, which is sold separately. It supports up to 15W wireless charging, too, which is quick for wireless charging.
The phone has a triple-lens camera system that includes a main wide-angle camera with a whopping 108 megapixels, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48-megapixel zoomed lens that Samsung boasts can zoom all the way to 100x zoom. However, during our testing, we found that the Galaxy S20 Ultra's zoom looks best at a maximum of about 25x zoom. Anything beyond that, and the photo starts to become unusably blurry. Still, that's better zooming that any smartphone we've tested.
Samsung's Galaxy S20 Ultra also sports 5G connectivity, but I wouldn't personally get too excited by that, as 5G networks are far and few between at the moment.
You can check out the Galaxy S20 Ultra review here, where I say that its biggest negative is its $1,400 price, which this Amazon deal takes care of.
