Amazon's Twitch Prime is now Prime Gaming, making all of the rewards benefits that were once connected to the video game streaming platform easier to access for all Amazon Prime members.
An Amazon Prime membership also features several additional perks, including free delivery on many items, Prime Video streaming, music streaming, exclusive deals, and more. Prime Gaming is included with all Amazon Prime subscriptions.
What is Prime Gaming?
Prime Gaming is the new name for Amazon's Twitch Prime service. Prime Gaming will offer in-game rewards for popular titles like "Grand Theft Auto Online" and "Apex Legends," as well as a rotating lineup of free games each month, just like Twitch Prime did. Amazon's video games rewards program originally launched in 2016 and now incorporates bonuses from several major publishers, including Electronic Arts, Take-Two Interactive, and Riot Games.
Free games can be claimed from the Prime Gaming portal, which currently features a number of classic arcade games from SNK, such as "Metal Slug" and "The King of Fighters," and popular indie releases, like "Blazing Chrome" and "Chroma Squad." Prime Gaming also gives Amazon Prime members a chance to subscribe to any eligible Twitch channel for free once per month, bypassing the usual $5 charge.
