Amazon's redesigned Echo and Echo Dot are now available for preorder — here's how to buy the new smart speakers

- Amazon launched its all-new Echo smart speaker lineup during a virtual press event on September 24.
- The next-gen Echo ($99.99), Echo Dot ($49.99), and Echo Dot with Clock ($59.99) all feature a brand-new spherical design, along with improvements in speech processing.
- An Echo Dot Kids Edition ($59.99) with Panda or Tiger designs will also be available, as well as a new Echo Show 10 smart display.
Amazon revealed its latest lineup of Echo speakers at a virtual press conference on September 24. The brand-new smart speakers feature a completely redesigned appearance with a spherical form factor.
Under the hood, Amazon has also upgraded the speakers' internals with the company's new first-generation AZ1 neural edge processor. In conjunction with other improvements, the new specifications allow the Echo speakers to process speech faster and enable Alexa to be more responsive.
The new Echo lineup includes the flagship Echo, the Echo Dot, the Echo Dot with Clock, the Echo Dot Kids Edition, and the Echo Show 10. Below, we've detailed everything you need to know about how to buy the all-new Echo speakers, including pricing and release windows.
All-new Echo
The all-new Echo will be available later this year for $99.99. Amazon currently lists an October 22 release date, and preorders are available now.
Marking a noticeable shift from previous models, the new Echo swaps out the lineup's traditional cylindrical design for a brand-new spherical form factor. The speaker features Dolby stereo sound, Sidewalk Bridge support, and an integrated Zigbee hub.
Echo models will be available in Charcoal, Glacier White, and Twilight Blue color options.

The all-new Echo Dot will launch on October 22 for $49.99. Like the larger Echo speaker, the new Echo Dot features a spherical design, which sets it apart from previous models that had a puck-shaped form factor. Color options include Charcoal, Glacier White, and Twilight Blue.
An Echo Dot with Clock model will be available on November 5 for $59.99. As the name implies, this model includes an integrated digital clock, allowing buyers to easily see the time or temperature. Color options include Glacier White and Twilight Blue.

Rounding out the collection, will be an Echo Dot Kids Edition for $59.99. Specially designed for children, the Kids Edition will be available in Tiger and Panda designs. Kids Edition models also offer a custom experience geared toward younger users, along with extensive parental controls.
Amazon currently lists a December 9 release date for The Echo Dot Kids Edition. Preorders are now available.

The new Echo Show 10 will be available in time for the holidays for $249.99. Color options will include Charcoal and Glacier White. Preorders are not yet available but we'll update this section when they launch.
Featuring a new design, the next-gen Echo Show 10 includes a 10-inch adaptive HD display that can automatically rotate so you can always see the screen. The device also includes a 13-megapixel camera, along with integrated dual, front-firing tweeters and a woofer.
