• Amazon launched its all-new Echo smart speaker lineup during a virtual press event on September 24.
• The next-gen Echo ($99.99), Echo Dot ($49.99), and Echo Dot with Clock ($59.99) all feature a brand-new spherical design, along with improvements in speech processing.

Amazon revealed its latest lineup of Echo speakers at a virtual press conference on September 24. The brand-new smart speakers feature a completely redesigned appearance with a spherical form factor.

Under the hood, Amazon has also upgraded the speakers' internals with the company's new first-generation AZ1 neural edge processor. In conjunction with other improvements, the new specifications allow the Echo speakers to process speech faster and enable Alexa to be more responsive.
