  • If you love luxury clothing but aren't obsessed with the high price tags, you're not alone.
  • We rounded up a list of 12 great online sites where you can find designer fashion for way cheaper than retail.

There's a lot to love about designer goods. The luxurious materials, quality craftsmanship, classic styles and one-0f-a-kind designs — the list could go on and on. But there's one thing I am confident in saying I hate about designer goods: the prices. I'm all for a splurge in the name of fashion every once in a while, but I'm not sure that my bank account feels the same.

Let's face it, no matter how much you're willing to spend on your wardrobe, you probably would not be opposed to spending less. Everyone loves a good deal, whatever their shopping budget may be. The good news is you don't need to have an unlimited budget (or only eat cereal for a month) to afford the luxury pieces of your dreams.

Nowadays, there are so many online businesses dedicated to selling designer goods at more affordable prices. From resale options to luxury brands warehouses, there are plenty of ways to find luxury items, both new and used, at prices that won't make you cringe when you enter your credit card information.

We rounded up some of the best sites out there for finding good deals on designer clothes, shoes, and bags, which you can find below.

Rent the Runway

Rent the Runway
Rent the Runway
Shop designer discounts at Rent the Runway

How it works: Rent the Runway is known for their unique clothing rental service, which allows you to rent dresses for short periods of time instead of buying them, or subscribe to a rotation of items every month. This ultimately allows you to wear designer clothes at a fraction of the cost. A lesser-known asset of Rent the Runway though is their clearance section, where you can purchase designer goods that are finished with their rental rotation. The sale styles are gently used, but you can snag them at up to 75% off the retail price. Not only do they have dresses, but you can buy clothing, jewelry, and other accessories on sale.

Why you'll love it: The site does a great job of helping you find what you're looking for. They have advanced filters like weather, event formality, age, and more that help you find the right outfit for your needs. You can even put in the range of clothing sizes you usually wear, so you will only see products available in those sizes. You can also sort by price range, from under $50 to "splurge-worthy" where you can find deals on high-end designer dresses from the likes of Derek Lam and Nina Ricci.

The RealReal

Shop designer deals at The RealReal

How it works: The RealReal is an online luxury consignment shop that boasts a wide selection of luxury and designer goods. In addition to clothing, shoes, and accessories, The RealReal curates luxury home decor and fine art. There's a team of over 90 experts (including gemologists, art curators, and horologists) evaluating and authenticating every piece, so you can be sure what you're buying is legitimate.

Why you'll love it: Along with a great selection of luxury items, one of the best parts about The RealReal is that there is always a wide range of pieces on sale, so you can snag even better prices. Every piece has a description of its condition, so you know if you should expect any discoloration, scratches, stains, or holes. Another great feature is that The RealReal lets you like items you're interested in while scrolling through the site. Then, when you're done shopping, you can head over to the likes section (the heart-shaped icon) and filter through the pieces you might actually want to buy. This is also a great way to keep an eye on items you may be interested in, but aren't sure if you're ready to buy just yet.

The Outnet

The Outnet
The Outnet
Find high-end fashion at The Outnet

How it works: The Outnet is a go-to for fashion-forward shoppers on the hunt for discounted designer brands. New arrivals are added to the site every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, so there is always a fresh crop of great finds. The Outnet carries a wide array of luxury, trendy brands as well as their own exclusive brand, Iris & Ink.

Why you'll love it: The Outnet has an amazing selection of trendy, new brands as well as classic, timeless staples. They offer styles that look like they're straight from the runway and everyday, ready-to wear pieces as well. Discounts are up to 75% off, so you can score some serious deals on high-end pieces. Their "what to wear" section has curated collections that make it easy to peruse and shop by style, season, and occasion. Shipping is always free, too.

Rebag

Shop coveted designer handbags at Rebag

How it works: Rebag sells authentic, preowned bags from the most-sought after brands. They only accept bags from an exclusive group of less than 50 designers, but their selection is anything but small. Rebag has pretty strict guidelines on the condition of the bag and how it is photographed, which must be followed in order to be accepted.

Why you'll love it: Rebag has timeless and on-trend bags from the top luxury brands. Their curated list of accepted brands means you only will see the best of the best, in terms of designer handbags. Since everything is pre-owned, you can find styles that you wouldn't even encounter in a retail store today. Their selection is well-organized, well-presented, and sure to make any handbag aficionado swoon.

Century 21

Shop everyday and designer deals at Century 21

How it works: Century 21 seems like your average department store, offering a large selection mostly designer clothing, accessories, beauty, home goods, and even some tech devices. What makes it different is that everything is sold at discounted rates of up to 65% off, but with frequent additional sales and clearances, it isn't rare for this number to get higher.

Why you'll love it: Century 21 not only has great deals on designer, but also more affordable, everyday brands. What this means is a huge selection of brands, items, and pricing, so you are sure to find something in your budget.

Luxury Garage Sale

Shop the online designer consignment at Luxury Garage Sale

How it works: Luxury Garage Sale is an online consignment shop offering products from the top luxury brands. They have a serious authentication process, so you can be confident in knowing that your money is being spent on a legitimate piece and not a fake. They have a large selection for both men and women, including deals on some of the hottest brands of the moment.

Why you'll love it: Beyond a great selection of unique pieces, Luxury Garage Sale gives you a detailed description regarding the condition of each item. The site only takes pieces in good conditions anyways, but this is a nice touch. It eliminates the possibility of any unwanted surprises, say, discoloration or a small stain, when you get your items. They also offer a personal styling service if you want some guidance on what you should purchase.

Gilt

Gilt
Gilt/Instagram
Shop the designer deals at Gilt

How it works: Gilt is like the online version of the sample sale. They offer flash sales that only last a few days, across a range of different everyday and luxury brands. Scout out the homepage to easily see what brands are being featured each day. If you're looking for something more specific, you can also shop by designer or item.

Why you'll love it: The sale boutiques are updated every day. So, even if you don't love the brands featured on Monday, come Tuesday there will be plenty of new additions to Gilt's selection. If you have a favorite luxury brand, look out for it on Gilt. Their brand boutiques have tons of options at great prices, but these deals don't last long, so if you find something you love on Gilt, go for it.

6 pm

Shop the 6pm luxury collection

How it works: 6pm has all sorts of clothing at discount prices, including a spot dedicated to luxury brands. They carry a lot of products from a lot of cool name brands like Dsquared2, Stella McCartney, and Versace, just to name a few. You can find some of these trendy names on sale for up to 80% off.

Why you'll love it: You can sort through the selection by "% off" so you know how good each discount is. You can also sort by occasion, making it easy to find exactly what you're looking for. With such deep discounts, the selections tend to run out fast, so if you do love something you might want to jump on it.

Saks Off 5th

Saks Off 5th
Saks Off 5th
Find great deals every day at Saks off 5th

How it works: Essentially, Saks off 5th is the outlet store for luxury department store Saks 5th ave. This means you'll find the same brands Saks sees, just a different selection with lower prices. Don't assume that because this is technically an outlet store you will only find outdated styles from last season; the site has super trendy pieces on sale for men, women, and children.

Why you'll love it: Just like the Saks department stores, Saks off 5th has a nice range of more affordable everyday pieces and high-end designer pieces. They often have additional sales on the site, so you can get even larger discounts. They also have a "New & Trending" category so you can search for up-to-date designer pieces.

Nordstrom Rack

Nordstrom Rack

Save on name brands at Nordstrom Rack

How it works: Nordstrom Rack is, if the name wasn't obvious, Nordstrom's outlet store. Nordstrom already has a wide range of affordable to luxury products, but Nordstrom Rack offers more affordability with its reduced prices. This is a one-stop shop for finding less familiar, everyday brands alongside high-end designer ones, with a large selection for men, women, and children.

Why you'll love it: You get all of the same brands as Nordstrom, but with lower prices. The website also shows how much you're saving when compared to the original retail value of the given item. The wide array of everyday brands and designer ones makes this a great place to shop if you want to treat yourself to some nicer clothing while still staying on a budget.

Neiman Marcus Last Call

Neiman Marcus Last Call

Shop designer deals at Neiman Marcus Last Call

How it works: Last Call is Neiman Marcus' outlet counterpart. Like Saks off 5th, you can find the same luxury brands here that you would find at Neiman Marcus, including Jimmy Choo, Alexander McQueen, and The Row.

Why you'll love it: There are so many great deals on high-end designers and so many ways to shop. Shop by price, percentage off, designer, or look at the multiple trend shops to find deals on current trends. They also have a "Direct from Neiman Marcus" section, which includes the exact items you would find on a clearance rack at Neiman's. The free shipping and in-store pickup options are more convenient perks.

T.J. Maxx

T.J. Maxx
TJ Maxx/Instagram
Get T.J. Maxx prices on high-end pieces

How it works: T.J. Maxx is known for selling products at prices far lower than most competing department stores. While you might associate the brand with cheaper, fast fashion, T.J. Maxx has a surprising selection of luxury goods. The Runway at Maxx, as they refer to it, is the lesser known part of the site where you can find designer clothing, handbags, and jewelry at prices below retail value.

Why you'll love it: You can't search by designer and since there are many non-designer products, finding luxury items here definitely takes a little more work than some of the other sites. Head to "The Runway" section though and it won't take too much time to find some of the top designers for less. After a little scouring myself, I came across a bag I had seen in a luxury department store not too long ago for $300 less than the department store price. That pricepoint definitely makes the extra search worthwhile.
