Infosys coins a new strategy to enhance its agility in the IT market

With a target to enhance its agility in the IT market, Indian multinational IT consulting firm Infosys on February 5 has decided to realign its organizational structure. The new structure would be effective from April 1, 2015. The global leader also aims to sharpen its competitive differentiation across service lines.

The realignment will help Infosys deliver services that will eventually reflect the way technology is consumed by the enterprise. The company will be organized into sales, delivery and business enabling functions as part of this structural change.

The IT firm will organize its sale activities around different industry segments, which includes:

· Financial Services (including Cards & Payments)
· Manufacturing
· Retail, CPG & Logistics
· Energy, Utilities, Communications & Services

· Life Sciences, Healthcare & Insurance

On the other hand, Delivery will be organized around service lines. The focus would be on nurturing innovation to drive service line differentiation across industry segments. The delivery organization will be focused around seven service different lines:

· Digital Integration Services
· Application Development & Maintenance
· Engineering Services
· Cloud & Infrastructure Services
· Independent Validation & Testing
· Enterprise Package Application Services
