The new Hyundai Tucson will be Santa Fe’s younger sibling, and Creta’s elder brother. It’s packed with features like an 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system, advanced AC controls, panoramic sunroof and automatic parking.

It will also be one of the safest cars around as Euro NCAP safety tests have given it 5-star rating. You’ll have 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection technology and Autonomous Emergency Braking to name a few.

The all-new Tucson is expected to come in both petrol and diesel variants. The beast is expected to have 2.0 liter CRDi and the 1.7 litre CRDi Blue Drive motor options and come in both AWD and FWD variants.

Expected Price: Rs. 15-20 Lakhs

Jaguar XE

Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover is planning to launch an all-new Jaguar XE at the Auto Expo next month. It will be available with two petrol engine options, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India said in a statement.

Jaguar retail outlets have already started accepting bookings for the new Jaguar XE.

Maruti Suzuki will finally launch the much-awaited competitor to the Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. This racy car will be offered in funky colors and that would add to its youthful feel.

This five-seater is expected to borrow design elements from its elder siblings - the S-Cross and Baleno. Expectations peg the Brezza to come fitted with the 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel and 1.2-litre petrol options.

Expected Price: Rs. 8-12 Lakhs

Ford Mustang GT

The iconic Mustang would be gracing Indian roads by early 2016. After a really long wait, Ford will finally showcase this car at the Auto Expo 2016.

Under the hood the Mustang will get a 5-litre V8 engine that churns out a whopping 434PS of power and 542Nm of maximum torque. That will be channeled though the 6-speed SelectShift AT.

Expected price: Rs. 65-70 Lakhs

Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai Elantra
If media reports are to be believed, the new Hyundai Elantra first unveiled at the recent Dubai International Motor Show is already India-bound. It will be manufactured at Hyundai’s Chennai plant.


It is expected to be available with three engine options – 1.6 litre Petrol, 1.6 litre Diesel and a 2.0 litre Petrol. Not to mention advanced features it’ll pack in!

Expected Price: Rs. 14-18 lakhs

Maruti Ignis

A show stealer at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a hatchback with SUV genes. How cool is that!

This baby beast, expected to make its India debut in September 2016 will be 1,595mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,438mm. It will be pitted against Renault Kwid and Mahindra KUV100.

The Suzuki Ignis is likely to get a new 1.2 litre three cylinder diesel wngine. This one is reportedly based on the same proprietary 3-cylinder 800cc baby that powers the Celerio Diesel.

Expected Price: Rs. 5-7 Lakhs

Chevrolet Cruze

The next-gen Cruze model will come to India by 2017. However, this sedan will get a makeover at the Auto Expo to keep the mill running for GM India.

Most reports say that the recent facelift will be purely cosmetic. However, the excitement is palpable to see whether this is the same Cruze Classic model the company sells in China, or something else.

Expected Price: Rs. 13-15 Lakhs

VW Tiguan

VW Tiguan
VW India will launch the all-new 2016 VW Tiguan at the Auto Expo 2016. It premiered at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015, and did exceptionally well. This premium SUV is larger than the average SUV and is way more luxurious. It will offer features like 3 zone automatic AC, seven Airbags, 4MOTION AWD, and a panoramic sunroof.

Under the hood it gets four petrol and four diesel options. It will stand its ground against the likes of Honda CR-V and Skoda Yeti.

Expected Price: Rs. 25 Lakhs+

Fiat Tipo

Fiat Tipo
Fiat will replace its ageing Linea with the Tipo / Aegea with refreshed features.

In line with all Fiat car engines, this one would also have beefy and efficient engines - two MultiJet II turbo-diesel engines and two petrol ones, available with MT and AT options.

The good thing is that the new Tipo will not only be styled better, but also built better. It’ll have Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' touch-screen Uconnect infotainment system, rear parking camera and satellite navigation.

Expected Price: Rs. 9-12 Lakhs
