City drive

Well city drive on Hexa is a bit of problem. The steering is on the heavier side and gives you the feel of the weight of the car. The torque of the car is good and so is the turning radius, which is why taking U-turn is butter-smooth. Also being a massive car, bigger than its rivals, you difficulty when parking in public places.
The Built

Tata’s Aria flunked at design. This time the Hexa maker was extra cautious. And the result? Well it’s polished and elite, more suited for the profiles of the professionals graduating from foreign business schools, yet passionate about love and long drives.
The bonnet line and grille is upright with ample ground clearance. Hexagonal patterns in the front grille, a signature for new Tata cars, make Hexa look sexier. Adding boldness are the daytime running lamps, thick chrome in tail-lights and added chrome under the window base.
Engine

Hexa has a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel Varicor 400 under its bonnet. The first time we turned the keys (yes there is no ignition button) during our review, we were amazed by the engine noise. While there is a bit murmur when the engine is idling, as the car is accelerated, the engine noise is smooth. The mileage that we got was 13 km a litre when driving on highway and 12km per litre in the city.
Design

Tata’s Hexa has one solid design. It’s bold, muscular and suave at the same time. The ruggedness has been achieved by the dual hexagonal exhaust tips and the open five-spoke, brushed metal, 16-inch alloy wheels. The car is available in Arizona Blue,Tungsten Silver, Pearl White, Platinum Silver and Sky Grey.
Long drives

This car is convenient for highway drives and off road experiences. On the highway, it is no less than a truck when it comes to power. Acceleration goes 100 km in 12 seconds. The steering feels balanced and stable when speeding and the braking is well-responsive. The suspension at the front is wonderful, when you can hardly feel the smaller potholes. However the passengers in the third row can feel the bumps harder.
Business Insider recommendation
Well, if you are looking for a car that will look pretty, be brave and have all safety-packed, Hexa is ready for you. At a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh, Tata Hexa is an amazing car to drive. Tata’s image, which was at stake after Nano, has refurbished. Tata Hexa is proudly the CEO’s car who works hard and parties harder.

Safety

In the recent time, when Renault Duster in Indian roads failed the crash test, you have to be cautious while investing your hard earned money in an SUV. We can’t comment on the crash test, but Tata Hexa has six airbags inside. Besides, there are ABS- ESP, traction control, hill-hold and hill descent control in the higher version.

The second row has two seats and taller people can comfortably sit. The third row is surprisingly spacious than its competitors. Also there is ample storage in the last row as well. The boot, after the third row is bit cramped.
The touch screen infotainment is decent. However the touch response has a room for improvement.
