She gifted her world tour on the 25th birthday. Having begun her journey in July of 2015, De Pecol has already seen 180 countries. In the next 45 days, she expects to visit the remaining and become the first woman to have done so in the shortest time on record.

In the 15 months she has been on the road so far, De Pecol has spent approximately $198,000 (approx Rs 1.3 crores). This includes airfare for 254 flights all over the world. The large budget is made possible in part by donations from sponsors. De Pecol is also able to stay for free at certain luxury eco-hotels around the world by advertising them via Instagram promotion.
While De Pecol travels the world, she is also doing a few jobs. She is simultaneously filming a documentary about her experiences, acting as an ambassador for the International Institute of Peace Through Tourism, and collecting water samples around the world for Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation.

Generally, De Pecol said she stays anywhere from two to five days in each country. Along the way, she has filled up four passports.
“Though I haven't yet become the first documented woman to travel to every country in the world, I imagine that the feeling of accomplishment and awe will be overwhelming,” De Pecol told Daily Mail.
“I just hope that I'm able to inspire young women (and men) around the world to go after goals and feats that so far, people think can only be done by men. Since school, I've had felt the desire to visit every country in the world, intrigued to learn more about every culture, natural habitat, and religion,” she said.
'Going to every country was for me a personal quest to learn as much as I could about our world, stepping outside my comfort zone and becoming comfortable in the unknown, while also aiming to leave a legacy behind,” she told Daily Mail.
