Auto giants look at hybrids and CNG vehicles to plug the gap as EVs catch on

The Indian auto industry is looking to replace the internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles with not just electric vehicles (EVs), with companies setting targets to shift a major part of their market share to EVs in the coming years. However, with the Indian EV industry still at a nascent stage, automakers are also looking at alternatives such as CNG cars and hybrid vehicles to plug the gap.
