Amazon Prime Day sale , users bought smart home devices, smartphones in millions. - The sale saw prime members from over 70% pin codes of India.
- Small and medium sellers on Amazon India saw their sales go up by 67% after Prime Day.
Its prime members had snapped up deals within minutes, during the two day sale between July 15-16. Most such deals were with smartphones.

Some of the other smartphones with delicious deals that flew off the shelves, were Apple iPhone XR, OnePlus 7, Samsung Galaxy M40, OPPO F11 Pro, Redmi Y3, Samsung Galaxy M30 & M20, LG W30 and flagship models of OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.
Millions of smart homes devices were also sold along with its own Fire TV Stick with Alexa voice remote.
However, it is just smart and big that won during the sale. Small and medium businesses also saw their sales go up by 67%.
Kalahaat artisans from Amazon’s initiative to support weavers across India, witnessed their sales volume increase close to 150%. Launchpad sellers, startups from Amazon Launchpad, had 75 products in store during the sale. Their sales over 65% on a year-on-year comparison.
“This year, we have 1,000 product launches, out of which more than 500 are from small and medium sized businesses. From Amazon’s launchpad for startups, we have 75 products being launched by startups,” Akshay Sahi, Director & Head of Prime, Amazon India had told Business Insider in an interview earlier.
