The reports have resurfaced and it does not look good for the PC business in India. In the latest report by Gartner the slump in the PC market continues to grow. In the last quarter of 2013 the PC bazaar shrunk by 19.9 percent. The combined desktop and mobile PC market in India totalled nearly 1.96 million units in the fourth quarter of 2013. This is not good news for global PC manufacturers in the country and something needs to be done quickly to slow down the sliding momentum.
There were no government orders in the last quarter of 2013, which was also the reason behind the high percentage of decline. HP is still the leading PC manufacturers in India with 21.3% market share, with the best gainer Dell at 18.6% and Lenovo not far behind at 15.9%.
