India’s billionaire count has crossed the triple-century mark! With 334 USD billionaires, the number has grown sixfold since the list debuted 13 years ago.

Gautam Adani, aged 62, and his family claimed the top spot with a wealth of ₹11.6 lakh crore, marking a 95% increase in their fortune. Gautam Adani surpassed Mukesh Ambani, who has now slipped to the second position with a fortune of Rs 10.14 lakh crore.

Radha Vembu, founder of Zoho, is the richest self-made woman on the list with a net worth of ₹47,500 crore. She is followed by Falguni Nayar, co-founder of Nykaa, with a net worth of 32,200.

Shah Rukh Khan, 58, made his debut on the 2024 Hurun India Rich List with a cumulative wealth of ₹7,300 crore, driven by his stakes in Kolkata Knight Riders and Red Chillies Entertainment.

The list also includes Juhi Chawla and her family with a wealth of ₹4,600, in addition to Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar, and Amitabh Bachchan.

The youngest billionaires on the list are Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar, both aged 33, founders of Razorpay – a payment solutions app. Kaivalya Vohra of Zepto, a $5 billion quick commerce startup, is the youngest on the 2024 Hurun India Rich List at 21 years old. His cofounder Aadit Palicha, 22, is the second youngest.

Gopichand Hinduja and his family topped the list of the wealthiest Non-Resident Indians. The Hinduja Group is present in sectors including automotive, oil, banking and finance, etc.

Mumbai dominates the 2024 Hurun India Rich List with 386 individuals, followed by New Delhi with 217 and Hyderabad with 104. Mumbai also added 66 new entrants this year.

The cumulative wealth of the Hurun India Rich Listers has surged to ₹159 lakh crore – surpassing the combined GDP of Saudi Arabia and Switzerland, accounting for more than half of India's GDP.
