With 552 new cases, Maharashtra's COVID-19 tally reaches 5,218

Mumbai, Apr 21 () The number of coronavirus casesin Maharashtra rose to 5,218 with 552 new patients beingdetected on Tuesday, a health official said.

The state also reported deaths of 19 COVID-19 patientsduring the day, which took the death toll due to the pandemicin the state to 251, he said.

On Tuesday, twelve deaths were reported in Mumbai,three in Pune, two in Thane and one each in Sangli and PimpriChinchwad.

150 persons were discharged from hospitals, which tookthe total of recovered patients to 722, the official said. NDKRK KRK
