Two persons recover from COVID-19 in Assam

Guwahati, Apr 15 () Two persons were dischargedfrom a hospital in Assam on Wednesday after they were found tohave recovered from COVID-19, Health Minister Himanta BiswaSarma said.

The Sonapur district hospital authority dischargedthem this evening as they tested negative for coronavirustwice, he said.

The mandatory chest X-rays were conducted and thedoctors did not find any symptom of cough and cold, Sarmasaid.

The government will keep them in a guest house ofJagiroad Paper Mills as the recovered persons are required tostay in isolation for a period of 14-days, according to theguidelines of the World Health Organization, the ministersaid.

Meanwhile, the wife of a COVID-19 patient testedpositive for the disease in Assam on Wednesday, taking thetally in the state to 32, Sarma said.
