This is the first official trip of the US President Donald Trump to India.
First Lady of the United States Melania Trump will be accompanying the President on his visit to India.
India has planned a tight schedule right from the time they are received from the Ahmedabad airport to drop off at the Delhi airport.

US President Donald Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump are due to arrive on a two-day visit to India on February 24. The President of the United States (POTUS) and the First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) will explore Indian traditions and culture, and attend a round table meeting with CEOs at the US Embassy.
He will have a tight schedule right from the time they are received from the Ahmedabad airport to drop off at the Delhi airport where they will take off.
PM Modi will personally visit the Sardar Vallabhbhai Airport in Ahmedabad to welcome the couple. The city is all decorated and already dressed up. The couple will travel via 22 km road in Ahmedabad, which will be occupied by more than 50,000 people, who are expected to line up.
The Ahmedabad authorities spent between ₹80 ₹85 crore for the three-hour visit by the Trumps.
Pay homage to Father of the nation at Sabarmati Ashram
The road trip will halt for a short period at Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad where the delegates will pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi. Like all other delegates, Trump will be gifted a spinning wheel, books on the life and times of Gandhi as a memento.
Namaste Trump at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium
From the ashram, Modi and Trumps will depart for the largest cricket stadium in the world. With lights, flowers along the way, paintings on the wall — the world’s largest cricket stadium is all dressed up to welcome the US president and the First lady. As many as 1.25 lakh people are expected to be present at the event. The event will feature cultural performances from different parts of India, to give the delegates a taste of Indian cultural diversity.
Food is an essential element to taste India’s cultural diversity
The Narendra Modi government has planned a formal lunch before Trump’s departure. After the event, the delegates will enjoy the Indian food in Gujrat’s capital Ahmedabad along with some of India’s politicians.
Taj Mahal visit
After lunch, the President and the first lady will leave for the city to visit the Taj Mahal. In Agra, after arrival at Kheria airport, the POTUS and FLOTUS are expected to spend some time at the symbol of love.
The dry and polluted river of Yamuna at the rear of the Taj Mahal was cleaned for the visit. Also, more than 900 cusecs of water have been released into it to look brim for the US state visitors.
Later the Trumps will retire to ITC Maurya, a luxury hotel in Delhi, according to reports.
February 25 2020, Rashtrapati Bhavan: Trump meets Kovind
The US president will meet with President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. A banquet will be hosted by Kovind and his wife, Savita Kovind at the Presidential House in Delhi.
Pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat
The Trumps will pay homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi at the Raj Ghat, ahead of their visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Former President of US Barack Obama also offered floral tribute at the site where Gandhi was cremated, during his 2015 visit.
The American President was then presented with a replica of Gandhi’s famous ‘charkha’ by the officials. He also planted a sapling of a Peepal tree at the Rajghat. Trump is expected to perform the same rituals at the Raj Ghat.
President Trump and Melania Trump at Hyderabad House and Delhi education system
The Trumps will also visit Hyderabad House, where Modi and Trump will discuss on the current ties and future prospects. During this, the first lady Melania will visit a school in Delhi. Modi and Trump will discuss topics related to Indo-US strategic partnership in the areas of defence, security, counter-terrorism, as well as trade, energy for the bilateral ties.

The Trumps will meet the top businesspersons of India as part of a CEO roundtable at the US Embassy in India.
Around late 10 pm that night the entire delegation from the US will depart from New Delhi in an Air Force One plane, the official plane of the President of the United States.
