Trump India Visit: Avoid these areas as Delhi will be blocked by Trump motorcade

• Delhi Traffic Police police has released a traffic advisory, ahead of Trump’s visit

• Trumps will reach the national capital today evening to meet President Kovind.
  

Delhi Traffic Police has released a travel advisory for national capital Delhi, ahead of Trump’s visit, which may cause delays amid tight securities.

Delhi is all set to welcome Donald and Melania Trump along with their special delegates from the United States. However, the traffic in some parts of the city is expected to be heavy due to security measures that are in place for the visit of the US President, the advisory stated.

The Delhi Police advisory stated that traffic in the evening hours today in the areas of Delhi Cantonment, Delhi-Gurgaon Road, Dhaula Kuan, Chanakyapuri, SP Marg, RML Roundabout, and the adjoining areas is likely to remain heavy.

The traffic police have urged motorists and commuters to keep the travel advisory in mind while planning their travel. The Delhi traffic police have been giving regular updates on their Twitter handle in order to keep the traffic smooth.



According to the advisory from Delhi Traffic Police, from noon till around 4 pm on Tuesday, the areas of Moti Bagh, Chanakyapuri, India Gate, areas around ITO, Delhi Gate and adjoining areas of Central and New Delhi will be jammed.

Trumps will reach the national capital today evening from Agra. In New Delhi, the US president will meet with President Ram Nath Kovind and his wife at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

During the visit to national capital Trumps will pay homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi at the Raj Ghat, followed by the discussion on Indo-US ties between Prime-minister Narendra Modi and POTUS at the Hyderabad House.

Trump will also have a round-table meeting at the US embassy with the top businesspersons of India as part of his visit.

Around late 10 pm that night the entire delegation from the US will depart from New Delhi on Air Force One plane.
