TN will toe Centre's decision on lockdown: Chief Secy

Chennai, Apr 11 () Tamil Nadu Chief Minister KPalaniswami has favoured extension of lockdown to PrimeMinister Narendra Modi by two weeks, based on expert committeerecommendation, Chief Secretary, K Shanmugam said here onSaturday.

The top state official said Palaniswami conveyed this toModi in a video conference early today.

Tamil Nadu will take a decision on lockdown extensionbased on Centre's move on the matter, which is expected to berevealed in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to thenation expected tonight at 8 pm.

"The Prime Minister's address to the nation has notyet been confirmed," he told reporters and added that it isexpected at around 8 pm. VGNROH ROH
