Three Sassoon Hospital nurses test coronavirus positive

Pune, Apr 15 () Three nurses working in theisolation ward of state-run Sassoon General Hospital here inMaharashtra have tested positive for coronavirus, an officialsaid on Wednesday.

The other nurses of the Pune-based hospital have beenquarantined and their samples have also been sent for testing,he said.

The Sassoon Hospital is one of the main facilities fortreatment of coronavirus patients in the city.

A couple of days back, one of the nurse showed somecoronavirus symptoms following which her samples were sent fortesting.

"After her report came out positive, swab samples ofother nurses who came in close contact with her were also sentfor testing. Subsequently, two more nurses tested positive,"the official said.

He also said that three coronavirus patients died atthe Sassoon Hospital since Tuesday night.

"A COVID-19 patient with co-morbid conditions diedlate Tuesday night, while two other patients succumbed to thedisease on Wednesday," the official said. SPKGK GK
