Indian states have announced varied quarantine and self-isolation rules for air passengers travelling from other states to control the spread of coronavirus. And even after three months of domestic airlines services resumption, states are still revising it every now and then.

The Central government meanwhile has extended the suspension on scheduled commercial international flight operations to and from India till August 31; there are a large number of Indians that are being brought back via Vande Bharat Mission or Air bubble travel.

Here are the recently updated quarantine guidelines from the Airport Authority of India.
State

Institutional Quarantine

Delhi

07 days of Institutional Quarantine at Government facility at no charge or paid quarantine at designated hotels for international passengers.

07 days for international and domestic passengers.

Not required. Thermal screening will be done for all passengers upon arrival.

Haryana

No quarantine.

14 days of Home Quarantine.

Not required. Thermal screening will be done for all passengers upon arrival.

Aarogya Setu app mandatory.

Himachal Pradesh

14 days , if coming from Red zones or have symptoms.

14 days , if passenger carrying COVID 19 negative test.

COVID test is not required.Thermal screening will be done for all passengers upon arrival.

All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App Entry/Exit from State borders will be allowed only from 6 A.M. – 8 P.M.

Jammu & Kashmir

Institutional Quarantine for all passengers till test results are available.

If test results are negative, mandatory Home Quarantine for 14 days from the date of testing.

COVID-19 test is mandatory for all passengers, except for the Defense Personnel.

Passengers are required to undergo COVID-19 Test at the Airport. All passengers must download the Aarogya Setu App.

Madhya Pradesh

Institutional Quarantine till the test result is available.

Re-test followed by Home Quarantine as deemed fit by the competent authorities.

Thermal screening and health profiling shall be done upon arrival. If passenger is found symptomatic, COVID test to be performed.

Passenger is required to undergo COVID-19 Test at the Airport if advised by the Health Authorities.

Punjab

07 days (for International passengers Only).

07 days for international passengers and 14 days for domestic passengers.

COVID-19 test shall be performed on a random basis Thermal screening will be conducted for all passengers.

Register on COVA Punjab app.

Chandigarh

If the test result is positive, passengers shall be shifted to an isolation centre.

14 days of Home Quarantine for all asymptomatic passengers travelling to Punjab.

COVID-19 tests shall be performed on a random basis for all passengers travelling to Punjab Thermal screening will be done for all passengers.

All passenger must register on COVA Punjab App before commencing their journey.

Uttar Pradesh

07 days (for International passengers only).

14 days for Domestic passengers and 07 days of Home Quarantine for Int’l passengers.

Uttarakhand

07 days of Institutional Quarantine for passengers arriving from high load COVID19 infected cities.

14 days of home quarantine for passengers arriving NOT from high load COVID19 infested cities.

COVID-19 test shall be conducted on a random basis Thermal screening shall be conducted for all passengers.

Travelers having negative RT-PCR test reports from ICMR approved lab not earlier than 72 hours from time of arrival will be permitted to enter the state without any restrictions. Travelers are required to upload the report on state website http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in .

Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Institutional Quarantine till the test results are available.

Home Quarantine for 07 days from the day they enter the Island/district or till they are tested negative, whichever is earlier.

Random testing.

Passenger is required to undergo COVID-19 test at the Airport as directed by the Health Authorities.

Assam

2 days

8 days

COVID-19 tests upon arrival. For Guwahati, antigen test results are available in 60 mins.

Bihar

No quarantine

Chhattisgarh

Only for symptomatic passengers

14 days of Home Quarantine for all asymptomatic passengers

Jharkhand

14 days of Home Quarantine for all passengers

Thermal screening will be conducted for all passengers

All passengers intending to exit Jharkhand within 72 hours of the arrival shall be exempted from quarantine

Manipur

All passengers shall be required to go for Institutional Quarantine for 14 days and further testing

If the test result is negative, passenger shall be allowed to go home with 14 days of Home Quarantine

Nagaland

Odisha

14 days of Institutional Quarantine for all asymptomatic passengers returning to urban areas of Odisha

Tripura

Only for passengers with foreign travel history to be kept in Institutional Quarantine till the test results are available

Meghalaya

48 hours of Institutional Quarantine for all passengers.

If test results are negative, passengers will be allowed to go home to complete 14 days of mandatory home quarantine.

RT-PCR test for all arriving passengers.

Arriving passengers should register on the state portal http://meghalayaonline.gov.in/covid/registerall.htm

Mizoram

21 days of Institutional Quarantine for all passengers

21 days, provided they clear the Rapid Antibody Test

COVID test for passengers opting for Home Quarantine

Aarogya Setu app mandatory and registration on state portal https://mcovid19.mizoram.gov.in/

West Bengal

For symptomatic passengers, the Health Authorities will decide

14 days of Self-monitoring for all asymptomatic passengers is advised.

COVID test for symptomatic passengers

All passengers must fill up and submit the declaration form using Sandhane App developed by H&FW Department West Bengal.

Goa

Institutional Quarantine for symptomatic passengers till test result is available

All passengers shall be required to go for 14 days of Home Quarantine

COVID test shall be done for all symptomatic passengers

Declaration form to be filed before or on arrival into Goa

Gujarat

International arrivals passengers need to go under 7 days of Institutional

followed by 7 days of Home Quarantine

Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers

Domestic travelers who are *asymptomatic* and entering Gujarat will not be quarantined

Rajasthan

No quarantine

14 days of voluntary Home Quarantine for all passengers

COVID test shall be done for all symptomatic passengers

Symptomatic passengers will be isolated and taken to the nearest health facility.

Maharashtra

14 days of Home Quarantine for all passengers

Telangana

7 Days of institutional quarantine.

Andhra Pradesh

All international passengers shall be sent to 07 days of Institutional Quarantine at Government facility or at paid designated hotels.

Health Authorities shall decide about the Quarantine requirements for all other symptomatic passengers

Only 10% randomly selected passengers swab test collection will be done at the airport.

Karnataka

All symptomatic passengers shall be shifted to COVID Care Center for further tests

All asymptomatic passengers arriving from other states in Karnataka shall be sent for 14 days of Home Quarantine.

Tamil Nadu

For symptomatic passengers will be required to go for Institutional Quarantine till the time COVID test results are available

14 days of Home Quarantine for all passengers arriving into Tamil Nadu from any other State.

COVID test for passengers arriving into any other airport of Tamil Nadu from any state, at the discretion of Health Officials

All passengers travelling to Tamil Nadu need register on state website and apply for TN e-pass on https://tnepass.tnega.org/
