Thane district: Count of COVID-19 cases now 273; death toll 11

Thane, Apr 15 () As 17 new COVID-19 cases surfacedon Wednesday, the tally of such patients in Thane district ofMaharashtra has risen to 273, the authorities said.

Coronavirus has so far claimed the lives of 11 personsin the district, they said.

Of the 17 persons who tested positive for coronaviruson Wednesday, as many as 14 were from Thane city, two fromKalyan Dombivali and one from Navi Mumbai, the officials said.

In neighbouring Palghar district, the COVID-19 casesreported so far are 55, which includes five deaths, theofficials said. CORNP NP
