Tamil Nadu simplifies e-pass procedure

- In a statement issued here, Palaniswami said from August 17 onwards, e-passes will be issued immediately if people wanting to travel to other districts apply specifying their Aadhaar or ration card details and phone numbers.

Facing criticism for continuing with the e-pass system for inter-district travel, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami on Friday simplified the procedure for getting the pass.In a statement issued here, Palaniswami said from August 17 onwards, e-passes will be issued immediately if people wanting to travel to other districts apply specifying their Aadhaar or ration card details and phone numbers.
