Nagpur six contacts of the Nizamuddin Markaz have tested positive for coronavirus

Nagpur, Apr 13 () Six contacts of the Delhi Nizamuddin Markaz attendees have tested positive for coronavirus infection in Nagpur in Maharashtra, an official release stated on Monday.While three of them tested positive on Sunday late night, reports of as many others came positive on Monday.
They all belonged from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, it said.
"All the six patients have been admitted in the government hospital in Nagpur," stated the release issued by the District Information Office.
With detection of fresh cases, the number of COVID-19 affected people has gone to 47 in Nagpur with eight recoveries.
A congregation of Tablighi Jamaat held at the Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi last month had emerged as a major hotspot for the spread of coronavirus infection across the country.
Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan again pressed for an extension of lockdown beyond April 14 to contain the spread of coronavirus.
“We also do not support the lifting of lockdown on April 14. It is true that the economy is affected, but the lives of people are more important, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told media.
This comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a conference call with Chief Minister confirmed extending the lockdown in India. However, PM is yet to make an official announcement about an extension.
Yesterday, several states including Gujarat and Maharashtra announced a lockdown extension till April 30. Previously, Odisha and Punjab announced a lockdown extension to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
There are 532 coronavirus cases in Madhya Pradesh, as of 4 pm on April 12. Of these this none covered while 36 have died.
Whereas, India reported two more deaths due to COVID-19, taking the total number of people who died to 32. There are 298 cases of coronavirus in Indore.
