Industrial and automotive supplier Schaeffler India continues to take action against the menace of counterfeiting activities across the country by working closely with the law authorities.

Recently, the company conducted multiple raids with the help of enforcement agencies against counterfeiters of LuK and FAG products across cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Coimbatore and Hyderabad.

The company’s brands span across clutch and release systems, engine and transmission applications, as well as chassis applications.

The company says that the actions taken spanning over a year yielded fake products worth ₹5 million. Criminal proceedings were initiated against 10 bogus entities, who were found to be engaging in such activities.

“These actions continue to highlight the misuse of intellectual properties and putting customers at risk. We are certain that the enforcement actions along with other reactive and preventive measures are being taken seriously in the marketplace and will reduce counterfeited products in the supply chain,” said Harsha Kadam, MD & CEO, Schaeffler India.
