Planning Board to prepare roadmap to revive Odisha's economy

Bhubaneswar, May 15 () The Planning Board in Odishahas decided to prepare a roadmap focusing on MSME, agricultureand allied sectors to expedite economic activities, which havebeen affected during the lockdown, an official said on Friday.

The document will be prepared after consulting withthe scientists, social activists, economists and seniorofficials, the state Planning Board's Vice Chairperson SanjayDas Burma said.

"The report will be prepared focusing on agricultureand allied industries, MSME, public health and tourismsectors. Views of people from different sectors will also betaken into consideration," he said.

The decision was taken in a meeting of the boardmembers on Thursday, he said.

The meeting was attended by Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary S C Mohapatra, Planning andCoordination department's Special Secretary GopabandhuSatpathy and Secretary Abhaya Kumar Mohanty and NabakrushnaChoudhury Centre for Development Studies Director Prof SrijitMishra.

"The Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for DevelopmentStudies will function as the nodal agency and prepare adetailed report on different aspects so that the economy canbe revived at the earliest," he said. AAMBDC BDC
