Private vehicles can now ply in Odisha, sportspersons can visit stadiums – here’s what’s allowed in the state in Lockdown 4.0

- The state’s capital Bhubaneswar which had just been declared as Covid-19 free has once again reported two new cases.
- However, the district collectors and municipal commissioners will now decide what are the red zones.

The Odisha government, which is also on alert mode for Cyclone Amphan, recently released the new set of guidelines for Lockdown 4.0. Odisha currently has 978 coronavirus cases with 277 cured and 5 dead. The state’s capital Bhubaneswar which had just been declared as Covid-19 free has once again reported two new cases. The number of coronavirus cases in the state surged after the return of migrant workers from other states.
However, the district collectors and municipal commissioners will now decide what are the red zones.

- Odisha has allowed all government offices to open with full staff. But those residing in containment zones or showing any symptoms of COVID-19 have been asked to stay home.
- Sports complexes will now be open and sportspersons can resume training. However, they will not be open for visitors.
- All shops will now remain open.
- All private vehicles can now ply on the roads. Inter-state movement has been allowed.
- Intra state movement allowed but with permissions from other states.
- Cinema halls and malls will remain shut.
- All religious places will stay shut.
- Schools and colleges to be closed until May 31.
- Restaurants to be closed for dining but takeaway is allowed.
