Mumbai: 7 officials to work on reducing COVID-19 doubling rate
As per the order, seven additional commissioners willwork towards improving the double rate of positive cases from10 days to 20 days by May 17.
These officials will be responsible for mappingpositive cases, contact tracing, strict enforcement of normsin containment zones,door-to-door surveillance,identifyingsenior citizens with comorbid conditions and fever clinics,the circular dated May 7 said.
They will also have to facilitate operations atprivate nursing homes, clinics, hospitals, ensure testing ofsymptomatic persons and creation of COVID care centres (CCC).
Additional commissioners will have to personally visittheir zones every day from morning till 2 pm, attend officepost 3 pm and brief the municipal commissioner at 6 pm, theorder stated.
