44 new Coronavirus cases recorded in Indore, MP today

Indore, Jun 17 () At least 44 fresh cases of novel coronavirus were detected in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district in the last 24 hours, taking the region's tally to 4,134, a health official said on Wednesday. As many as 1,687 swab samples were tested in the district on Tuesday, of which results of 44 persons were positive for the infection, the official said.
According to the district administration, four persons, including an 83-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man, had died of COVID-19.
While the health official did not provide specific dates for the casualties, the toll in the district has now reached 182.
A total of 3,048 persons in the district have recovered from the infection so far, he added.
The analysis of official figures revealed that the recovery rate till Wednesday morning was 73 per cent and the death rate stood at 4.4 per cent.
As per the data, the district has witnessed a decline in new COVID-19 cases in the last 16 days, but the mortality rate due to the disease continues to be more than the national average. HWP MAS ARU ARU
