Maha: Teachers, board exam moderators can travel amid lockdown

Mumbai, May 5 () The Maharashtra government onTuesday announced that teachers, moderators and officialsinvolved in the assessment of Class 10 and 12 exam papers willbe allowed to travel for official work during the COVID-19lockdown.

In a government resolution, the school education andsports ministry said teachers, moderators, contractors hiredfor transporting exam papers and officials involved in relatedworks will be allowed to travel during the lockdown with priorpermission.

Additional chief secretary Vandana Krishna also statedin the GR that officials of the state education board will beallowed to conduct investigations at exam centres wherecomplaints of violations had been reported.

The move would help around 15 lakh students whoappeared for Class 10 and 12 examinations, the results ofwhich will be announced by June 10. NDARU ARU
