As the number of cases continues to increase, the state’s health minister Raghu Sharma said that Rajasthan is going to import two Cobas-8800 machines — one for Jaipur and one for Jodhpur. This will help the state conduct more tests and speed up the identification of hotspots to control the spread of coronavirus.

In addition, Rajasthan’s chief minister Ashok Gehlot has requested the central government to provide more personal protective equipment (PPEs), testing kits and ventilators of international standards.

The total number of active cases in Rajasthan is currently 2,393 with 51 deaths and 768 recoveries.
