Coronavirus red zones in an effort to control the spread of COVID-19. - Most of these red zones are from the Southeast district in Delhi, which includes the Nizamuddin Markaz area.
- So far, Delhi has 1,154 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, with 24 deaths.
Most of these red zones are from Southeast Delhi, which includes the Nizamuddin Markaz mosque. The mosque was in the news recently for holding a religious gathering that included several attendees who had shown Coronavirus symptoms. Later, many of these attendees were confirmed to have the COVID-19 infection.
“We have declared COVID-19 containment zones as red zones and high-risk zones as orange zones. We have identified more containment zones in the national capital,” Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said in an online briefing.
Currently, Delhi has 1,154 confirmed cases of Coronavirus out of which 27 have been cured while 24 have died. As of now, 25,722 people are under home quarantine, while 15,064 people have completed their 14-day quarantine, according to the authorities.

Delhi had 33 Coronavirus red zones until yesterday. Today, the government added 10 new zones, taking the number to 43.
