These are the revised guidelines for Karnataka — saloons, shops can open but everything will be closed on every Sunday

• There will be no red, orange and green zone in Karnataka. However, the government will identify containment zones and focus on them.
  
• According to CM Yedirurappa night curfew would continue from 7 pm to 7 am and there will be a complete lockdown on every Sunday.
  
• Under the new guidelines, shops, saloons can remain open but schools and shopping malls will be closed.
  

The Karnataka government on May 18 extended the lockdown till the end of the month and issued a revised set of guidelines for coronavirus lockdown across 30 districts in the state.

With the lockdown 4.0, the government also decided to do away with colour coding of districts into red, orange and green zones and instead, focus on containment zones for monitoring.

"Lockdown will continue till May 31.In containment zones, there will be strict restrictions. If anyone violates the law, we will book criminal cases against them," CM Yediyurappa said.

According to CM Yedirurappa night curfew would continue from 7 pm to 7 am and there will be a complete lockdown on every Sunday. The district authorities will soon release a revised list of all containment zones in the region.

What’s allowed?

• All four state transport corporations (BMTC, KSRTC, NEKRTC and NWKRTC) have been allowed to operate, except in containment zones, from Tuesday morning.
• Private buses have also been permitted to ply, he said, adding that only 30 people would be allowed to travel in a bus with mandatory wearing of masks and maintaining physical distancing.
• Moreover, private buses cannot increase fare and would bear losses
• Inter-state transport of people would not be allowed, except in emergency cases.
• In maxi-cabs, the maximum number should be four passengers, including the driver.
• Trains can operate within the state, but there will be no inter-state services till May 31.
• All shops including saloons, and barbershops can also function.
• Parks have been allowed to be open from 7 am to 9 am and from 5 pm to 7 pm.
• Hotels can give away takeaways to customers.
  
  

What’s not allowed?

• All domestic and international air travel of passengers, except for domestic medical services, domestic air ambulance and for security purposes or purposes as permitted by MHA.
• Metro rail services
• Schools, colleges, educational/training/coaching institutions etc will remain closed. Online/distance learning shall continue to be permitted and shall be encouraged.
• Hotels, restaurants and other hospitality services, except those meant for housing health/police/ government officials/healthcare workers/stranded persons including tourists and for quarantine facilities and running of canteens at bus depots, railway stations and airports. Restaurants shall be permitted to operate kitchens for home delivery of food items.
• All cinema halls, shopping malls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places. Sports complexes and stadia will be permitted to open; however, spectators will not be allowed.
• All social/political/sports/entertainment/academic/cultural/religious functions/other gatherings and large congregations.
• All religious places/places of worship shall be closed for public. The religious congregation are strictly prohibited
